Apple Valley Tackle Football will require parents to volunteer for the chains at home games, game day concessions or playoff weekends (Oct 4th-6th & Oct 11th-13th weekend). Each family must complete one volunteer shift and submit a $200 check per family; if you have multiple kids in our tackle program, we only require ONE shift per family (not per kid). The check is returned if the commitment is fulfilled but cashed if not. *Once we have the playoff game schedule, we will update and open more slots*
Required for Coaches: Background check & Player's Health Protect
*Note: To be considered for head coach (and assistants), you must complete all the required training (background check, Heads Up Youth Sports Training, and Abuse Prevention Training). If you aren't sure if you completed this recently, please check prior to the deadlines.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Youth Tackle Football is offered for grades 3rd-8th grade in the fall (2024). Registration closes July 10th, 2024 (11:59 PM)
- Grades 3rd-5th (Fall 2024): $180.00
- Grades 6th-8th (Fall 2024): $225.00
Please register by July 10th, 2024. Late Registrations will only be accepted based upon availability.
Apple Valley Tackle Football will be requiring parents to volunteer for playoff weekend and/or game day concessions. Each family must complete volunteer hours and submit a $200 check per family. The check is returned if the commitment is fulfilled but cashed if not.
All applicants for the Head Coach position must attend a mandatory interview with the coaching committee on either July 23rd or July 25th. No exceptions! We will announce the coaches by July 26th, and they will receive their team at that time.
Equipment Provided by VAA
- helmet
- shoulder pads
- game jerseys- will be handed out during the first week of practice (please note: Game Jerseys are not allowed to be worn at practice)
Required checks at Equipment Pick up
(The two seperate checks will be voided/returned once equipment is returned at end of season and volunteer hours are fulfilled).

***PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to make it to Equipment Pick up on the dates posted above because of travel or other known obligations, please email us as soon as possible to make arrangements for an earlier date to pick up. All Equipment must be picked up prior to the first practice.***
Equipment you supply (required)
- mouth guard
- protective cup
- cleats
- practice jersey/pants – we will have gold pants new and used for sale at equipment hand out.
- Game Pants- Black pants will be for sale at equipment handouts.
- If you have used pairs, bring them along for a $5 per pair credit!
Not Required:
- Limited quantities & sizes of other items such as practice jerseys and Apple Valley Swag will be available to purchase during handouts.

- Ball Carrying up to 95 lbs.
- Single Stripers 96 lbs+
5th Grade
- Ball Carrying up to 110 lbs
- Single Stripers 110 lbs +
6th Grade
- Ball carrying up to 125lbs
- Single Stripers 125 lbs +
7th Grade
- Ball carrying up to 150lbs
- Single Stripers 150lbs +
8th Grade
- Ball carrying up to 175lbs
- Single Stripers 175 lbs +
